For two decades Kat has successfully helped children build skills to manage stress, improve mood, increase self-regulation, and optimize potential. Her playful, energetic, and collaborative style connects with kids and she prioritizes finding fun, developmentally-appropriate ways to individualize treatment. This commitment extends to creating a neurodiversity-affirming practice, where all children, including those with neurodiverse conditions, feel understood and valued for their unique perspectives and abilities.
Kat received her Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University. Her years of experience in both senior leadership roles and as a clinician in group practices, schools, family homes, community clinics, and inpatient treatment centers allows for a comprehensive approach to supporting a wide range of needs.
She has years of training focused on understanding childhood & adolescent development. Additionally, she has intensive pediatric OCD and anxiety training including Yale University’s Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) approach, and is passionate about empowering both children and parents in reducing their struggles and living a life more at ease.
Kat believes strongly in the power of mindfulness and self-compassion. She integrates these principles into her own life and in her practice, creating a rich toolkit of techniques and exercises for those she works with. These skills are designed to guide her young clients on a path of self-care and acceptance, helping them build a lifelong habit research shows can profoundly impact their well-being. Through this approach, Kat offers a meaningful way for kids to connect with themselves and the world around them in a positive, impactful manner.
In addition to being a child therapist, Kat is a mother of two sons. When she is not at the office or running around after her kids (5 & 8) she enjoys reading science fiction novels, and exploring the gorgeous nature where she lives.

“I've had the opportunity to work closely with Kat as a colleague this past year. She's been invaluable! I continually seek her consult because of her expertise in counseling children, parents, and families. The majority of therapists have been trained to work with adults in "talk" therapy. Kat is unique in that she has years of experience working with children and parents. She also understands that the best way to support a child in healing is to hold the full experience of that child, which includes all the people who are a part of it. Kat's approach is both highly relational and experiential. What that means for her clients is that sessions feel like a gentle, fun, yet deliberate and steady journey toward intimate healing and growth. This also translates into achieving goals sooner rather than later. If you need help navigating the challenges of parenting and want to feel more connected to your child, call her. She's a gem!”

“I have known Kat to be an exceptionally warm and supportive therapist. Her passion for working with children and their families really shines through her work, and I've experienced her skill in supporting kids with anxiety. She's not afraid to laugh and inject sessions with fun, and she also holds the clinical intuition necessary to know when a little push toward growth is indicated. I wholeheartedly recommend her therapeutic services!”

“ Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the profound impact Kat has had on the lives of young children, teens and their families. To say she is passionate about her work is an understatement. She possess a deep understanding of the intricacies of OCD and Anxiety. Which when combined with a remarkable talent for building rapport and trust with clients results in much needed change and a growth mindset.
Katherine’s ability to have fun while doing serious work is an admirable skill. A must have when working with children. Takes talent to reimagine evidence-based interventions into amusing creative challenges that children look forward to every week.”
